Ushering in the change :
Despite the fact that women make up a large percentage of the globe, their participation in employment and industry is underused and underrepresented. The greatest approach to empower them is to provide them with skills and possibilities for employment.
It should come as no surprise to us that the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals include not just gender-specific initiatives and data, but also an entire objective dedicated to gender parity. The fifth objective is audacious, vast, and significant. “Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls,” it urges the world.
Bhawana Bhatnagar, our Founder, is a firm believer in them. We strive for such aims at Casa Exotique if for no other reason than it is the proper thing to do.
We provide formal skill training for underprivileged women and professionally equip them to make furnishings such as curtain draperies, cushion coverings, bed linens, and other handcrafted decorative peices that add a unique charm to your homes and workplaces. We believe that true empowerment happens through such skill training wherein women learn how to create an income stream for themselves. In terms of interior design, luxury refers to limited, ageless, one-of-a-kind, and priceless pieces of furniture that provide interior spaces not just colour but also a soul, a personality, and a narrative, which these ladies bring in. In a world of ready-mades, when the only things we produce with our hands are emails and online messages, the time, talent, and drive that goes into crafting anything from scratch makes handmade and handcrafted products extremely valuable.
There can be no genuine growth if women are excluded, given their huge contributions to socioeconomic development. And we hope that our efforts in this direction will contribute towards the betterment of these women groups and help them build self-confidence, feeling empowered over time.
